Polish on Reign of Fire
« on: October 17, 2011, 11:11:54 PM »
Anybody try polishing this ball? Or would a 4000 finish be better? Looking for guidance, thanks.

Ultimately, it boils down to what would work best for you.  Try 4000 then try polish.  See what works for you on the shot you bowl on.

On a side note, I think Storm has a video about a guy shooting 900 with a polished Reign of Fire.

Before the Reign of Fire ever touched the lane, I put a lite coat of Xtra shine on the ball. I shot 300 with it the very first game I used it. I would say, try this first, then try to alter the surface with Abralon if need be. There is a lot of texture from factory on this ball, and it is worth trying to just delay the reaction a bit with a bit of polish, rather than alter the surface profile extensively with a different sanding grit. Just my .02.
