Let's talk about the Agent!
« on: July 31, 2006, 02:15:29 AM »

Attention all Agent throwers/Storm people:

My attention has moved to the Agent recently and I was wondering about this core.  The Enhanced Motion Control core looks like a giant FE2 core to me.  What do you think about it?

It has the same coverstock as the Tropical Storm?

Let's talk about the Agent.

Personally I like my Agent a lot. To me (personal opinion) Is is a lot smoother than the Pyro (which I throw as well). The way I throw the ball the Pyro will snap much harder at the end while the Agent will arrive in a nice smooth arch. I do not know my drilling off hand, but I will try and post is a little later tonight.

Yeah everyone says that it has a nice smooth arc.  This sounds interesting.  I notice the Storm site says it is for med heavy oil, and I am wondering what people here use the Agent for.

I am trying to compare it in my head to other balls on the market right now.  When I think pearl reactive, I don't really think of what the Agent is supposed to do.

Could you sand this guy down for good results if you needed to?

I use the Agent for Medium conditions.  Strong arc motion is how I would describe the reaction.  Overall hook seems to be about the same as the Paradigm - but the Paradigm seems to have a bit more length and a much more violent backend reaction.

I would not recommend sanding down an Agent.  I have never had much success with a sanded pearl reactive - but you may hear differently from others.  If you are looking for similar reaction but with an even earlier roll you may want to wait about 2 weeks for the Double Agent.  It will come factory sanded pearl particle.

I threw mine down in St louis at a little sweeper a couple weeks ago where there were 2 Scorchin Infermos and a Passion being thrown and i was more than an arrow deeper swinging ther ball to an area where they took 3 off the right and the Agewnt came back and went high. On the pair next to us Tyler was prtty much doin the same with a Saga. Great midlane read with a strong backend arc. kind of an original X-Factor on steroids!

Hmm, yeah I don't know if I really need another medium ball...

Then again, medium is really relative I guess.

I really like mine; nice strong arc, good carry and pretty versatile...

...however, my first agent self distructed the first day I had it (major defect between the core / coverstock that resulted in a large 4-5 inch crack in the coverstock) and my replacement has just recently gotten a small crack in it, though not getting any worse.

Anyone else happen to see any problems with the ball?
