Strong ball from Storm obviously.  Our two testers needed oil.  They first were concerned about the ball reaction when they were 3rd arrow, not seeing the backend motion they were hoping.  The ball was just burning up.  As soon as they starting getting deep, they were shocked by the amount of motion the Crux had on the backend.  It was a revelation.

Just to be clear, TamerBowling.com is not on staff of any manufacturer, although we at times use staff testers.  The reviews are not written by staff members and we actually have no testers who are Storm or Roto Grip staff right now.

Anyway, I hope you took the time to read the complete review.  All I was trying to communicate is that the take away was the Crux did not "function" well until it found a good bit of oil, especially for our higher rev bowlers.  There are some balls that fair better in medium to medium/heavy oil.  The Crux for these high rev bowlers needed heavy oil.  But also unique to oilers, the Crux had lots of backend pop, but again, only with high volumes of oil.  I actually think this is a fairly unique reaction compared to the multitude of balls we've tested over the years.

Yup, I would agree.  We tested the Hyper Cell and the Crux also has a strong move, especially on heavy oil.  The difference I would say is that depending on your level of hand, you see the following.
The Hyper Cell is hard to keep on the right side of the head pin when the volume decreases whereas the Crux shows a "weaker" ball reaction keeping it in the pocket.  However, the carry isn't there, in our test anyway. 

I would also say the Hyper Cell is probably a tad more defined in backend movement.

I wonder on the choice of layout for strong rev/low tilt bowlers and expect this ball to backend?

punched one up 60x4x30. my stats are 4 7/8 3/8 up,17 mph,10* tilt and higher revs. with this layout the ball still seemed to chug in the midlane then looked like it got kicked in the rear,very nice ball motion and was exactly the reaction I was expecting.I must be getting better figuring out layouts on equipment for me. I do agree the cover seemed a little strong at first but that can easily be adjusted.
