Is the Fired Up safe for hot water bath?
« on: June 04, 2007, 01:47:15 PM »
I've done that to a Fired Up for about 15 times, and I've noticed this time that there were some white powder/tiny chunk coming out from inner layer material underneath the coverstock inside the weight hole, but I didn't find the same problem inside the thumb hole. All I've done to the ball was to soak it in hot tap water, while i don't have the same problem with my other bowling balls from different manufacture. The ball is going to be retired and the new Spit Fire is going to take it's place anyway, but I am just curious if anyone has seen the similar situation, cause I do not want to mess up the future Spit Fire.

sounds like the filler is falling out of the ball, just put tape over the holes and you should be good

I've already put some super glue inside the weight hole. I've never had the same problem with my other bowling balls. Would this be caused by the driller? If so, I need to go back to the Track forum to yell at someone.

i honestly dont see how a driller could cause it, but they probably know more about this than i do so it might not hurt to ask them about it, but ive read on here before about other people having the filler material falling out, and not just during a bath
