Best way to revive an X-Factor Deuce?
« on: July 20, 2006, 03:07:31 PM »
hey guys,

My bro just let me inherit his X-Factor Deuce, and as you imagine its pretty much burnt up with alot of games. Interested with matching it with my original x-factor, whats the best way in your opinion to bring it back to life? thanks for opinions/etc.

Get a new one..........had 3 of those and all of them croaked after approximately 50-75 games. Tried everything to revive them with no luck.

Try to put the ball in the bucket and extract oil, then wet sand it back to 800 grit OOB finish. This might restore the ball (probabkly not fully, but to some degree), but if it is ridden down you might need a complete resurfacing which I'd let be done at a pro shop. But ecven with major surgery the performance might break down very quickly after only few games.

Mine went south. After resurfacing, it came back about 70%, and lasted about 50-60 more games.

Answer=put it in the trash and get a new ball. This was one of the worst balls storm made.

Wow, that is truely your opinion, because the Deuce is my favorite ball of all time.

mine died after shooting my 300, 290, and 289. I can't complain about the ball I tried to revive it but no luck
