Question concerning STORM bowling balls
« on: July 21, 2009, 09:52:17 AM »
Hello everyone, I have 3 balls in my bag: Storm Virtual Energy, Brunswick Swarm, Ebonite Tornado. I absolutely love my Virtual Energy!! Lets say I did not have the Tornado nor the Swarm. What would be 2 good STORM balls that I could add with my Virtual Energy (maybe a ball for medium oil and a ball for light/dry oil)? Thank you for your time!

I would go with the fast for lighter patterns, for medium I would either get a hyroad or a T Road pearl(if you can find 1). Maybe a furious depending on your style. This is going off general info, without knowing any of your stats.

Hyroad and MAYBE The Natural. The Natural has become a VERY POPULAR choice around here!

Hyroad and Fast.
        or
Hyroad and Natural (if you bowl on absolute desert)

I just through my natural and while it is becoming very popular and I love mine it is urethane and is a different reaction then most are used to.

for mediums i would definitely hold off a couple weeks untill we see the reign in action. i have a feeling from what ive heard that this might be ball of the year material for mediums. for light i second the fast. easy length and good backend for the price. also second the nautral but as a caution it will be a different ball motion than you are probably used to seeing. with the urethane cover it will be less backend, more of a roling backend than a snap. but will definitely be more controllable.

I'm thinking about retiring my Tornado or my Swarm. I want to purchase another STORM ball that will fall under my Virtual Energy, which I use on heavy oil-medium oil lanes. A ball for medium - light oil lanes. Between these choices(2nd Dimension and the Fast), which STORM ball would fall under that category? To sum it all up, I want only STORM balls in my bag!!

I think the fast would be a better choice for medium to light oil. Second dimension is to strong for that.

The fast is much stronger than you guys give it credit for, i'd suggest a Fast as the first drop down, then a Tropical. I own the energy and Hy-Road and have cycled through a lot of the storm lineup, the Second Dimension and Hy-Road are not that much weaker than the Energy.
