Domination first impression
« on: October 09, 2006, 02:31:11 PM »

I received my package of balls from storm, thru the pro shop program.  Minus a couple of balls that were on back order. But i was quite surprised by a domination showing up.

I threw none of the new stuff in league tonight.  I waited till I was done and then threw some afterwards which the fresh house shot was only broke down 5boards from fresh shot.  It is a typical house shot out side of 5 is toast and then the concetration of oil gets heavier the more toward the middle you go.  And it is from what i can tell is oiled to about 40foot.tat said i drilled my domination in the 4x4 layout with the pin 1 and a half inch from my pap with cg and rad stacked underneath and a balance hole on my val.  This ball is flat out rediculous.  I threw about a game or more with it.  This ball has the most backend out of a ball that i have ever thrown but it isnt a skid snap reaction it is smooth but strong and it comes back from anywhere as long as there is some friction if you throw in a flood this ball is not going anywhere but it wasnt made for that.  I compared it to my spit fire from which i just drilled and also my agent.  It is about 5 foot longer than my agent and about 8 boards more in overall hook.  Much more angular than the agent and I thought the agent was angular, it has nothing on the domination.  Ball hits harder than any storm ball I have ever owned.  The spit fire is sooner than the domination and the agent and is much smoother with more over all hook than both of the other two.  Between these three spit fire can handle the most oil but has alot smoother reaction than the other two it is more of an arc, but still kicks the corners out.  I can't wait to throw these more.  I also redrilled my jolt havent thrown enough to really give an opinion on it.  I am drilling my thunderstruck pearl tomorrow.  That is just my first impressions of this ball and it gained a crowd quite quickly when they saw what it could do.  My opinion if you like storm ball this is a much have piece.   It is definately a med to med heavy ball you could throw it on lighter conditions but you will have to back off of it quite a bit.  It clears the heads like they arent there and also the midlane and revs late and dont make its breakpoint till 50 to 53 feet, with the most backend i have ever seen.
