Questions about the vertigo and the Passion???
« on: June 12, 2007, 05:44:05 AM »
I have the Vertigo and the Passion.  I had great success with the Vertigo and none with the Passion.

I was reading some of the ball reviwes on Buddiesproshop.com and some stated that the Passion didn't move at all, some say it hit well but didn't hok much and some say it wsa an oil munching hook monster.

I know all these can be correct because of how the bowler had the ball drilled, prepped ot how the bowler releases the ball.

I bring this up because I am drilling the Vertico with a strong pin under and to the right fo the ring finger stached and finished with compound and I am drilling the Passion with the pin along side of the ring finger ant he MB at 35 degrees.

Am I going in the right direction?  Or are these bowling balls too over under?

Thank you.

A friend just gave me his Passion. Did not give any reasons on why he
did not want it anymore. We have the same grip basically, so no changes were
necessary. Threw it in my bag. My summer league is in a dry house (little head
oil with dry back ends) and I threw one ball with the Passion and it held
pocket ! I was shocked, I can only use balls like Desert Heats, Barb Wires,
and my Hot Rod Hybrid normally in this house. I was shocked on the non movement and proceeded to throw 260, 237, 218 with this Passion, with no
surface work. This was a label drill with a two inch pin, and my normal speed
is about 14-15 mph with medium revs. I do not believe this is a heavy oil
ball. The guy that gave me the ball normally likes bigger hooking equipment.
This will be a keeper, for the showing on this drier condition !

Man, the Passions i've seen being used are extremely strong in the mids and continuous through the back of the lane. Absolutely hook monsters from what i've seen. They need oil though as the ball will just roll out extremely early without oil but i'm unsure of the durability of the ball, could it be it was not maintained and lost reaction?
