Spit Fire Question
« on: March 11, 2008, 03:25:13 PM »
I am in need of a medium/medium light oil ball.  After the first game in league (THS), every ball rolls out on me.  My fault obviously, I have no ball for that condition.  I was wondering if the Spit Fire would be a good ball to turn to when the lanes start to dry up a little.  I am a low rev player with a high track.  Thanks!,

This might be a good ball for you. Mind you, this ball is crazy aggresive off dry boards (just sand off a little polish). Pretty strong core so you might want to go with a tame layout.

And here comes the "roll out"...

Look for something with a weaker core, higher RG, and pearl coverstock...that should fit the bill...oh yeh, and drill it with the pin above your finger holes...

The SpitFire is an excellent ball. It may be a bit too strong for a dry shot. It all depends how dry. The ball may be best suited for medium oil.

go with a tropical strom. Those balls are pretty strong if needed to be but you can tame it down for a dry shot. My friend had one and it was a really decent ball for the price.
