Hi All,

I'm proud to present to you The Street Rod Comparison Video from Storm.

http://www.videoballreviews.com/streetrods.html

My Take on the ball:

Solid: This ball hooks...and hooks and hooks, alot of umph in this for the price...make sure you have a long enough pattern tho, i have found on shorter patterns and/or really walled up patterns it gets VERY over under, this is a very strong off the dry ball and i have actually had it quit if i try to cover too many boards on a shorter or lighter shot...dont be afraid, this thing can handle some juice!

Pearl:  The pearl is one of the best, if not THE best ball i have thrown from storm yet since i started doing videos for them.  This ball has such a sweet roll to it, and i can get lined up on just about any shot, from any angle and still carry...great length, picks up great in the middle part of the lane and finishes with a big sweeping hook in the back, its not sideways at the breakpoint, just what i like to call controlled angle...not bad at all for a $100 ball...it can get a bit squirty (like most pearls) when it sees oil downlane, but it handles it fairly well...

Enjoy! And as always comments and questions are welcome!

Nice video.

It looks like the Pearl gets into a roll a lot sooner than the solid O.o

Just picked up the Pearl Street Rod today... This is going to be the go to ball this summer for the lighter house shot I've been seeing.

On an unused lane that had been sitting for a few hours I had almost 8 boards to choose from on the approach and 5 or so at the breakpoint.  Once I developed a track that room started to disappear, but the reaction was still clean through the front of the lane and strong off the breakpoint.

Boy, Storm sure does love red and blue swirled on a ball, don't they? X-Factor, Agent, Paradigm Domination, and now this...

I saw these two balls drilled and thrown yesterday on a THS and yes they do perform well. The pearl was just amazing on how it got through the heads and especially on the backend reaction. The pearl was also very continuous when it entered/exited the pins. The solid was drilled as a benchmark ball to be 'archy' and yes at first look the coverstock looked identical to the cell except for the logos. I had to take a second look. I thought to myself, why does this cell have a storm logo on it? Then I moved it and saw a the street rod label. I liked the look the pearl gave even on fresh oil and I know when the shot breaks down it will shine for this particular bowler. Bottom line, a great 1 - 2 combination.
