I've been wanting to get this ball for weeks now to fill a hole in my bag that's been exposed by the dry heads and midlane I'm fighting the 3rd game every night in league this season. Last night I was talking to my friend who works part-time at the pro shop I frequent, and I lamented the fact that the Reign was delayed. "Really? I didn't know it was delayed. We've got one in the shop right now." "Seriously?" "Yeah." I immediately went over to my ball driller and told him I'll be in tonight after work to punch it up! Still not 100% sure on what layout I'll be using. I just talked to Victor at Storm on the phone (great guy, by the way, very helpful!) about layout advice. If the pin is long enough, I'll probably be doing a 5" pin to PAP layout with a short pin buffer, it'll probably end up putting the pin about 1.5" inches above my fingerline, CG stacked underneath. However, for this to work I'll need a longer pin, so we'll see how that turns out.

This ball is extremely strong off friction and a dart on oil. Reminds me a lot of the T-Road Pearl. The factory 1500 polished surface is hit or miss for me, so I'll be adjusting the surface to try and even out the reaction.
I get the same problem with every single Storm/Roto ball that's polished out of the factory -- it's just way, way, way too shiny out of the box for the way I throw the ball. Sanding off the polish and applying your own coat of polish to your liking should really bring the ball to life and even out the over/under look.
