~*Storm INVASION videos presented by Videoballreviews.com*~
« on: December 07, 2009, 12:54:09 PM »
Hi all,

Its been a little while since i have done some videos but for good reason, i have found a new house to film at. Not only is there better lighting but i also have a multitude of oil patterns to test on.  ALL of my videos will now be featured on a typical house shot and on some type of sport shot.

So you can compare, this house shot may not have alot of length (It's 38') BUT there is quite a bit more volume than the last house i filmed at.

So here is the new release from Storm, THE INVASION

This ball is just downright STRONG...full review coming soon but here are the videos for your viewing pleasure...

Thanks for the info Britton...looks like I won't be drilling one of these up for myself anytime soon...not enough oil around these parts to hold back a ball like that.

Looks like the invasion will be a good ball. However, not enough oil in the area for me to throw. The equipment is getting stronger and stronger but the oil volume is not increasing. If anything oil volume is getting lesser and lesser.

Wish I had this ball last night.. after a guy bowled 24 shots going brooklyn, the oil wss all over the place, the c-system would turn the corner but finish flat, I needed something with surface. Britton that ball looks beastly, its crazy how that thing just stands up in the oil and gets left in a hurry. I see I need to get one asap. Whats the tag on this thing?
--------------------
Hmm..Lets see what I have in this bag...
a Frenzy, 2.5 percent of a C-System, and a Python Snake.. how can I loose....

....HG-300(2006 w/Desert Heat)...299 (03/15/09 w/Agent Orange)...HS-776 (Hot Sauce Pearl & Ebonite Magic)

Do you mean price tag Tizzle?  If so, im not certain but it should be similar to the price of the Virtual Gravity.  Im sure pre-orders should be popping up soon.

And yes, it cetainly is beastly

Is this because maybe Storm finally realized what a waste of money it was for them to let you leech on with your videos that show no differnce in reations what so ever??? New house, new patterns, new balls, SAME OLD Britton...... So since its dec and you're contract was probably a year and the year is almost over.....that why there wont be a comparision? Or is because in your hands they'll be dead on top of eachother like all your other videos???

Ball looks interesting..

Noticed you drilled the thumb in the MB on the 4" to PAP one..

Any particular reason for that? I mean, looking at his PAP and his revrate, i'm just wondering why you would go with such a strong layout.. Or is this one drilled for some specific type of patterns for this bowler?

Thanks..

Keep up the good work Britton..

slumpbuster lets see your game big boy.. lets post a video on here and we can all review it see what you got. I think its great that Britton started doing this and showing great comparisons of balls, drill patterns, lane conditions.
I know at my local bowling alley there are alot of bowlers that come in the shop talking about videoballreviews.

Slump,

At Storm Products we do not try to compare Storm against Roto Grip.  We don't feel that benefits our Brands at all.  It is our goal to have the most complete product line by Storm and the Roto Grip balls are meant to fit inbetween those lines with price and performance.

In the example of the Cell series it is priced less and rivals the Dimension series.  A perfect example of canibilization as the Dimension series unfortunately was not a good seller.  Cells hooked more for less.

Therefore we compare within their own lines and let the customers decide how our products compare to the competition or each other.  The videos Britton does for Storm and Roto Grip are meant to aid customers in choosing a product by being able to see the reaction characteristics from the videos.  Britton works as a consultant for our company and will continue to do videos for us.

Thanks,

Roger,

Does that mean the dimension line is leaving soon since you said the dimension line didn't sell well? I think both the second dimension and the dimension are really good balls, but with the dimension I don't see enough oil for that ball unless it's on a longer pattern. The second dimension I love and keep two in my bag...

Sorry I got off topic a bit there. Is there going to be a Pearl version of the invasion going to be release in the next couple months?

Roger, it is very unfortunate that the dimension series was not a good seller. The best of the 2 balls is the 2nd dimension. That ball is a sleeper and is very versatile. I got one box finish and 1 with 2000 abralon by hand. 2000 abralon excellent on fresh really blends out the lane. Box finish gives me nice downlane hook. i will have me a couple of blanks on hand.

Ditto on the Second. Great ball that had a lot of utility for me on a variety of conditions.
