Replace Gravity Shift with Virtual Energy?
« on: September 22, 2010, 12:33:48 AM »
I recently purchased a used Gravity Shift from ebay and I have really been loving this ball. It is the first ball I've had where I can actually see it rev'ing up! I bowled on a modified house shot as well as chameleon and seen it come back with a vengeance if I missed right. This is how I expect my Invasion to roll but..not soo much.

I kept the previous owner's pin position in the same general area. I've never had a ball with the pin above my bridge so I am very surprised to see the reaction I have been getting.

So, I really want to purchase a new one but it is discontinued. I was comparing the specs of the Gravity Shift to the Virtual Energy on bowlingball.com and they look identical except for the core is a little different.

My local pro shop has a VE that they are trying to get rid of for $150 drilled. The pin length is about the same as my Gravity Shift (2.75ish).

Would the VE be a good backup/replacement to the Gravity Shift? I plan on drilling it the same way as my G.Shift.

Thank you
