I am going to have to replace my Ace and Triple X over the next month or so - both have over 250+ games and are beat pretty bad.
I am a slower speed bowler who throws two completely different styles depending on what gives me the most area. I either throw a slow deep inside higher rev. loop -or- a medium speed hand behind the ball down and in shot. I usually have balls drilled relatively stacked in order to allow me to use the same ball for both the cranker or stroker shot.
I am leaning towards replacing the Ace with a Pyro but I obviously I could still replace it with another Ace. I am looking for comparisons from persons with experience with these two balls. In general I like to use my Ace for medium oil longer patterns.
The Triple X Factor is another matter. I liked this ball when I first got it, but I have lately been limiting it's use to shorter (35' or so) medium patterns and even on that I have been getting a weird over under almost every use. I am looking for a med./med. ball that will not overreact in transition from wet to dry. I am considering -
Diablo (may be a bit strong but I hear it is relatively controllable)
Fired Up (maybe a bit more backend than I want?)
Paradigm (if I drill this a bit weaker than my Triple X???)
I welcome all opinions please.

the paradigm was a good replacement for my Ace. the paradigm is a little more skid flip but its drilled slightly stronger. the ace, being a particle ball liked to hook a little earlier than the paradigm does now but it balances out.

In general I try to stay away from replacing particle balls with reactive balls and vice versa. Particle balls have a more consistant movement in longer oil patterns.
What about replacing the Triple X with a Paradigm? I was thinking if I had it drilled a bit tamer that may be a reasonable move.

i couldnt answer that for you, i have never thrown a tripple x factor.
