I'm a little lost with this thread... Diablo and Vertigo stronger than a Trifecta?
Passion 'two steps above' Trifecta when it comes to handling oil? Whaaa? Sorry guys, but you must have no hand in the ball to come to that conclusion. Until Storm came out with the Passion the Trifecta was one of if not the strongest ball in oil they ever made to date. Particle balls need a certain amount of revs. to be effective, so maybe when you throw a stronger particle ball like a Trifecta it could be sliding out?
I own a Vertigo and a Trifecta, and I have thrown a Passion (decided for me it was overkill). Here is my summary on a 40ft. 8 to 8 house pattern -
Passion starts turning late in the midlane and turns REAL hard. Strongest of the three. If you put speed and revs. this is probably the ball for you. Anything under 15 mph this ball took off on me even in soup!
Trifecta gets rolling earlier than the other two and has a smooth turn and hit. I use this ball on heavier - longer oil patterns. The Trifecta is about 2-3 boards weaker than the Passion but the longer the pattern the closer they are.
Vertigo's initial reaction is similar to the Passion, but its overall turn is not as dramatic. This ball is good for shorter (35ft or so) heavier oil patterns or medium to heavy on longer patterns.
On longer oil the Vertigo is about 2-3 boards weaker than the Trifecta. On shorter patterns the Vertigo and the Trifecta are about the same overall hook, but the Trifecta looses a little energy in the backends.
