Brigham City, UT (April 28. 2008) Storm Products Inc., the Brigham City, Utah based manufacturer of high performance bowling balls is proud to welcome Rhino Page to its Staff of Champions.
Page, of Topeka, Kansas, had the greatest rookie season in the history of the Professional Bowlers Tour in 2007-08, which included a title at the Go RVing Classic in March. The 24-year old left-hander racked up five championship round appearances as a non exempt player finishing second twice, third and fifth.
Page's win at the Go RVing Classic earned him $25,000 and helped him to a rookie earnings record of $84,811. With the win, Page joined Sean Rash and Mike Mineman as the only three bowlers in history to claim titles after advancing through the weekly Tour Qualifying Round.
Page graduated from the University of Kansas and is a five-time member of Team USA. He was a member of 2004 Intercollegiate Bowling Championships men's national team and the 2005 U.S. Amateur champion. He is the only bowler in history to win a (July) High Roller title (amateur) and PBA national title.
“Storm has great products and I have a great relationship with Steve Kloempken (Storm Marketing Director) and Chris Schlemer (Storm Tour Representative),†said Page. “I am very happy with Storm’s equipment. Storm had enough confidence in me to make me an offer and I expect great things for next year. The Gravity Shift is just one example of the great equipment Storm offers.â€
“I watched (Storm staffers) Pete Weber and Norm Duke as a kid and I am thrilled to be on the same staff as them.â€
“We’re excited about Rhino,†said Storm President Dave Symes. “He exudes the passion and desire for success on the lanes that we have throughout our company."
Page recently lit up the lanes at the 2008 USBC National Tournament in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is a member of the team leading that division.
“Breaking multiple records on the PBA Tour his rookie season, Rhino Page is quickly establishing himself as one of the best young players in our sport,†said Kloempken. “He is feisty, tenacious, and a real force to be reckoned. And with a wealth of experience as a member of Team USA, Rhino is only going to get better! We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Rhino to the Storm Staff of Champions.â€

Very cool. I had a hunch Storm was make a run at him when I saw Rhino was bowling with Steve Kloempken in a team event recently.
-
Well we knew he would throw Ebonite or Storm, they match up better to his game than any of the other manufacturers.

Will he replace someone or will he be just an addition to who they have?
He had a great year. Thought he used Storm products mostly any ways. May as well get paid to be on staff.

He won with an Angular One i wonder why Ebonite did not pick him up ??? He must have gotten a bigger paycheck from Storm and i guess it is ok considering the Spitfire rolled pretty dang good for him in that close loss to PBIII.

Yea i thought he used prodomiently ebonite but who knows..doesn't really matter. Storm wanted him worse then anyone else and they got one heck of a bowler on staff with them now..

I wonder if the guy who sponsors him is out or not??? If it is full boat sponsorship i guess it does, if it is incentive's i am sure he will keep his current private sponsor.
I know his sponsor he has a stable full of great bowlers and one or two deadbeats, the guy is too nice for his own good with his dough.

Sorry that I wasn't allowed to educate the public on what the actual ball he won with was. And about the name, it is one that I tweeked from one of my friend's email. BTW there are atleast three other names on here that have "bowlingnut" in their name. Thanks for being so self centered! I was just posting like everyone else on here!!!!

Good for Rhino. However, I think a guy with the name "Rhino" should be throwing Brunswick.

Haha!! Who on earth, would name their child "Rhino?"
-
It's not his real name. It's a nickname he picked up when he was a kid, and it stuck.
-
Oh. Well.
You can call me Hippo then

HAHAHAH!!!! I remember that game!!

Interestingly enough he was called Rhino as a kid playing teeball, and hated the nickname until he realized that Brunswick had a ball called "Rhino", and so he started to like the name and it stuck.
His real name is Ryan, and I know all of this because I read the newest US Bowler.

Great addition I love him with storm equipment.
