Here is a message I sent to Storm Tech Support this evening.  If anyone has helpful advice, please feel free to chime in as well.  I just thought I'd share this issue since I wouldn't want someone else to deal with the same problem.

I recently drilled a Tropical Storm with the pin under the bridge and the CG kicked out from the grip centerline at 45 degrees.  Placed a weight hole at 6 3/4" from the pin.  This hole did remove a small amount of the central, light bulb shaped, core.  My PAP is 5.5" over and 7/8" up.

The issue I am having is I do not see where the flare nods are on this ball.  My driller has also looked at it closely and is perplexed as well.  The ball flares, but the flare lines don't cross at two points like normal.

Is it possible that this layout is causing this issue, or is it something else?

I have a Special drilled with the Rico grip, and my ball does not flare much at all.  which then keeps all of my flare lines close to each other.  They are there, but maybe not as prounounced as other balls.  With my access point, I believe one of my bowtie points is just up and left of my middle finger....Different ball and different weight block, so not sure if it will help.

Is the pin in the center of your grip or under your bridge?

As your profile says 5 3/8 > would put the pin in your palm in between 5 1/2 and 6 inches from your PAP.  All of the other equipment in your profile shows in between 3.5-4.5" away from your PAP.  Those are pretty strong drillings and will produce noticable flare lines.  Weaker PAP distances will produce flare lines closer together that may look like one big one, hence; harder to find on a shiny pearl that's not made to flare that much anyway.

I've use this layout on other pieces and haven't notice this sort of issue before, even in lower flaring pieces, so I still think it has to do with the core construction of this ball...
