Devour to go underneath a Storm Fight
« on: July 12, 2016, 09:30:59 AM »
I'm looking for a ball to go underneath the Fight. Would a Roto Grip Devour drilled pin up with a surface change to 4000 be a good fit on light to dry lane conditions go under the Fight? Thanks

Yes but no. Yes the Devour can fit under the Fight, but the Devour isn't really a light/dry lane ball. It offers a different reaction to the Fight and can compliment it. I'd look more towards the Ride, Joy Ride, Loco if you want a ball for light/dry lanes although the reactor cover is still plenty strong enough to handle medium oil depending on other variables

My fight goes long and smooth my devour is a solid wrecker.  Really makes a turn down lane...

I would consider it to the be other way around, the devour at the stronger one.

That's what was on my mind about the Devour. I though that it might be less of the spot then the Fight. My fight is pin under, I didn't have much success with the pin over drill. I left a lot of corner pins. I'm not looking for different shape than the Fight I just want something to get down the lane when it starts drying out. Maybe higher rg like the the Fight with lower differential. Maybe hybrid, don't like pearl covers.

I'm like you on synthetics...can't do pearls for some reason.

I bet ya the wreck-it is your answer....it'll cover more boards but you'll be able to kick out some corners for sure!

Thanks billdozer, I'm going to look into the wreck - it. A new fight sounds good RemarcaBowl. I will probably have to scuff it a little. Your lineup of overseas equipment looks good. Thanks guys.
