Title: Ryan Shafer-- 300 with victory road
Post by: Rrichardson on July 03, 2011, 02:03:45 PM
Anyone else See Ryans perfect game withe the VR? I just had one drilled a week ago and haven't had a chance to use it but once. Just curious if anyone else is throwing one and what conditions and type of shot they have with it. Don't ya love the smell! Lol

I watched him throw the VR the entire summer series and he was just lined up perfectly with it.  Honestly, he was 1 of the best if not the best bowlers on Storm's team this year.

I don't have a VR but have heard it's 1 of the stronger pearls for medium conditions that Storm has put out in a while.

Definitely best on medium conditions.    I throw mine about at 24 and 15 in games 2 and 3 on most nights after beating up the oil pattern with my Nano in game 1.

Got to throw mine today on some dry wood lanes. I'm usually lined up fairly straight on synthetics. Around 25 to 10, but today I was against the ball return and still coming up high at times. The ball definitely  has some back end to it. I can't wait to try it in league when the lanes start to transition! Very aggressive pearl. I get more reaction with it than my MCP which I now keep highly polished and use for right side spares.

Yeah the Victory Road is definitely the strongest ball I have thrown in a while. It turns the corner very hard and for me I can play pretty deep and be consistent at hitting the pocket which is not usually one of my strong points. I have had this ball since it was first released and it still corners like the first day I rolled it. It is definitely becomming one of my favorite balls of all time. On my Monday night fall/winter league we usually have a fairly high volume of oil and this ball can hook through that. This ball will be in my bag for quite sometime, may even surpass my Columbia Bedlam that has been in there for two and half years.
