i have a virtual drilled stacked levrg.  My proshop guy said it would be my solution to heavy oil.  When i went to a tournament with a 41' tournament pattern my virtual just skidded and skidded while my bite with drilling 1 out hook it.  I was just wondering how do i make my virtual my heavy oil ball?  Bring the grit down or re drill? thanks

I'd go with a little more surface, the VG is 4000 abralon out of the box which is probably a little too high for heavier/longer patterns.  You will probably want to take it down to 2000 or even 1000.  The other question is how many games have you put on it.  Sometimes a ball doesn't show it's true colors right away, it needs some games to put a track on the ball and for the coverstock to absorb some oil.    Good luck.

After 100 games, it is not unreasonable that the ball has absorbed some oil, even with regular maintenance. Perhaps a hot water bath/dishwasher/rejuvenator session along with a resurface would be a good idea.
