Second Dimension-anyone have any feedback yet
« on: January 08, 2009, 04:09:37 AM »
I was just wondering if anyone had thrown this ball yet. I know its available to PBA members and the seed balls are probably showing up to some shops by now..

Just wondering if anyone had anything good or bad to say about it yet..

Slightly more rounded breakpoint than Gravity Shift, but cleaner through heads than Dimension. Exactly what you'd expect out of a pearl version of a Dimension... not much overlap between the two high-end series.

But the best part about the ball? The smell! The Second Dimension smells AMAZING. Apple pie, baby!!!

So it's a bit less angular than the Gravity Shift?  that's my interpretation of what you said, just wanted to be sure.

Correct. The ball responds less sharply to friction downlane. On most patterns, the balls will probably cover similar total boards for most bowlers, but the Gravity will display a more skid-flip reaction (at least more so than the Second Dimension). I personally saw a bit less (1-2 boards) overall hook with the Second Dimension, but lower rev testers saw no noticeable difference. I was just getting the Gravity to spark more quickly off friction.
