Replacing my Skybolt

Love my Skybolt but I am going to have to retire it soon.  What, if anything, would make a good replacement for it from the current line-up?

I've always had good luck with lightbulb cores, but my Skybolt has been exceptionally durable, so I would like another Storm product to replace it.  Perhaps I should just find a lightbulb core ball in someones elses current line-up?  I believe Ebonite has one and Brunswick is re-introducing the Rhino Pro Teal lightbulb.  Also the NE10 from Dynothane has a nearly identical core to the Skybolt.

My Skybolt is 5x3 with the pin nearly center over the bridge.  Goes deep then turns hard.  It's medium in most centers but in my home it hooks the hole lane.

Well, if you are looking in Storm, probably the best thing to replace it with would be the SpitFire. Definatly a great ball. The core is not a lightbulb although, I actually don't think any of Storm's current line has that core in it. SpitFire would probably be the closest although.

The closest thing to a light-bulb core Storm has is the Agent line, but those balls seem pretty strong for replacing a ball like the Skybolt.

The NE10 is probably an excellent replacement for the SkyBolt, having the same core and having a solid resin cover, just like the Sky Bolt. The NE 10 comes highly polsihed; I'd suggest taking it to the same surface level you have the Sky Bolt at and going from there. The Soaker coverstock takes 20 games or so to break-in. After that, it gets stronger and stronger.

I remember the Carolina Blue Sky Bolt. That was before they called balls "particle " because we would of said...what in da heck is that! I loved and love the light ball but that ball grabbed the lane before I let it go. Made me some money the one time I got to use it though.

If you did well with the light bulb core look at the El Nino Returns. They have them at Cheap Bowling Balls.com for around 150.00 it has the same cover as the Agent. I've heard some very good things about this ball and will be ordering one for myself at the end of the week.
