For me, my Paradigm is rather strong. It's definately stronger than my Widow with their current drills and surfaces. My Paradigm is box (1500 polished) and my Black Widow is box (4000 abralon). Polished, the Paradigm is easily a med/hvy oil ball and if you take the surface down, it just might be able to work on heavy oil.

The ball has good traction and rolls well. Give it an early rolling layout (mass bias at 45° from PAP) and scuff up the surface, say 1.000 grit or less, and it should do well. The coverstock has a light particle load, and despite being a pearl it has very good traction - IMO even better than the new Shift which is offially a particle pearl ball (maybe the higher RG).

This ball can work very well on heavier/longer oil
