I'm recently back to bowling after a 19 year layoff.
Needless to say, I learnt how to bowl in the "good ole days" and now I'm having to re-learn everything. When I bought my first ball after restarting, I didn't know how to answer the pro-shop guy when he asked me if I wanted a "re-active" ball! LOL.
This pro-shop (the only one for 300 kms around) was pushing Lane#1 at the time so geuss what I ended up with?
Anyways, to cut a long story shorter, I've had several balls since I've been back, tried several companys (Brunswick, Ebonite, Track, Hammer and Lane #1) and, even after a try with the Black Widow (supposedly ball of the year)I was still looking for a ball/company match up.
After much hesistation and much research (Jeff Carter's excellent site was a great help in this matter) I finally decided to try a Storm ball and recently bought a Spitfire.
This is an excellent ball. The sort of ball that makes you go wow the first time that you throw it. Maybe I found a ball/company match up at last. Now I've just got to learn how to use it!!
Seriously, a very good ball, and not too expensive. Big bang for your bucks.
For once I'm VERY happy after a bowling ball purchase.

I've upped my average, so up yours!
