I'm curious aswell. I'll be getting a Spit Fire from my friend in a little while. I think the Spit Fire is naturally a snappy ball. However, my friend's is drilled with the pin like 3 inches from the ring finger. I heard that this is a basic control layout.

i was thinking of one of these for med light oil since my fired up clears the heads well but with its hard snap it can be very uncontrolable

Yeah, if you're looking Med-lite, don't go with the SR300. It will be IMO way too strong.
