Maybe Switching to all Storm
« on: April 29, 2007, 05:11:15 AM »
i have been thinking about this and it is starting to make more and more sense to me. My ball that has lasted the longest and was the best quality was a storm fired up. I had a paradigm and that ball was great. right now i am throwing a mix of ebonite, storm and hammer. I had bought a lane 1 ball but i have not gotten it drilled yet so i really dont know anything about it.
My Current Arsenal
Heavy Oil- Lane 1 G-Force
Med-Heavy Oil- Hammer Black Widow
Med Oil ( Benchmark Ball)- Ebonite Smashtime Pearl
Med-Light Oil- Storm Fired Up
Lighter Oil- Hammer Blue Vibe

I am really happy with my Hammer Balls but my ebonite balls are just ok i also have an angular one that im gonna get rid of becasue it just doesnt seem to work for me. I was thinking of getting rid of both ebonite balls. And sticking to storm and hammer but i still want to see how lane 1 is. My updated arsenal with some of the storms i would want to get would be

New Arsenal
G-Force ( Special Agent if i dont like the g force)
Black Widow
Storm Shift
Storm Spitfire
Storm Fired Up
Blue Vibe

I still think i should get a ball under my blue vibe. So if anyone bowls all storm and is finding better succsess with balls complimenting each other and knowing the differnce between balls thanks for the help

Try that G-Force before anything. The ball today was A-MAZING in play at Masters and Queens in Indiana. A guy by the name of Bart Loe, shot a 298 with it. He was a really cool guy and the ball just flat out went crazy. It was on a sport shot, and he used it the whole time. Shot 1315 with it in 6 games. GREAT BALL.

I have a few things on my mind...

The Special Agent is not a heavy oil ball.  The Double Agent is a heavy oil ball', but that's because it is a particle ball.  The Special is a solid version, so if you dull it, it may match up well for heavy oil, so go for it; maybe 500 abralon.  You can also try the Paradigm Passion, but I've seen mixed reviews for it.

You don't need to go entirely to Storm.  You have some decent equipment as it is, and no one really cares, unless YOU have found an advantage to doing so.

When I saw your light oil ball in your current arsenal a Blue Vibe, I questioned myself; the Blue Vibe is underrated, and can actually hook quite a bit.

These are just random thoughts I pondered while reading your post.  If you feel that there is a benefit to switching to Storm, go right ahead.  I'm not stopping you or saying that it's a stupid idea, if that's what you thought.

SPARE BALL.

haha, there really isn't anything weaker than a Vibe, a Tropical Storm IMO would be too close in reaction shape.

No no, Kenny, I disagree.  The Blue Vibe is actually a perfect THS ball.  There are a handful of things weaker than it.  You underrate it like everyone else, not to degrade you, or anything.  All urethane balls, the Pure Hammer, Tornado Warning Pearl, and maybe a Brunswick Power Groove Dry/R are all weaker than the Blue Vibe in my opinion.  While I'm throwing an Arsenal Artillery, the guy next to me is throwing the Blue Vibe pretty close to my line.

But you have to remember Kenny has high revs so you no, plastic reacts for him and blue vibe because one person said it was weak has to be.

But to be serious now, the blue vibe is a good medium-light ball and great ball to take advantage of drier outsides of a Medium to Medium-Light THS. Below the Vibe a urethane reactive or Dry/R are good options, you can probably find an old urethane reactive around for pretty cheap if you look and it can be a great option and also be good as a spare ball.

All I have for the evidence was Jonathon Buckert, the Denny's PBA High School Champion bowler, was using one when I was in Nashville with him. The lanes were fried, and he was consistent with it.

I personally have cut the revs, and learned to play straighter. I still get the same amount of hook, totally different line.

And don't go on about me being the pro, blah blah blah. I am kind of tired of it Mike.

Don't base your evidence of something, based on watching some kid throw it on TV..thats how "people shoot up schools"..the television..

Where are those 2 300's located? Just wondering.

And two, I did not see him on TV, I saw him in person in Nashville. I was on the pair next to him. Couldn't help but noticing someone shooting 780 when the lanes were burnt to a crisp.

780 is great, but you don't know how the cover was and how it was layed out apparently. Also, those 300s are in practice, my highest sanctioned is a 289, front 10, 6 pin spare. Do I care? NO. I'm proud of any honor score I fire off, because it's an accomplishment, whether USBC sees it or not. I don't trust your punk as$ after the whole post with Ackley anyways..

Lie and cheat huh? haha, and the fact that he did say he was a whole lot better than me and was going to whoop my aZz in bowling, does that not sound like he is better than me? And a wallhack, I thought you bowled on 95% THS yourself. I could of sworn.
