Shift pin above layout
« on: March 13, 2007, 01:02:35 AM »
Was at the Shift demo yesterday...very informative on the company and some rumors floating. Rotogrip and Storm are merged and are here to stay. Now on to the post. Only confusing part is that the pin up layout is only in the slide presentation info given at the seminar. It is not one of the three choices in the enclosed ball sheet. Ball is for good talented bowler. 350 rpms, PAP 51/2 o 5/8 up. Wants it for inside angles on PBA challenge and sport shots. Just drilled him a pin under 45 deg Special Agent that he loves, but wants this one to be clean through the heads and sharp on the back from inside. Layout 2 in the enclosed booklet shows pin 4 from PAP and only 2 from VAL(mb at 4 also) This will put above and right. Shows for tournament shots, but also max flare. The slide layout show pin 6 from PAP pin buffer 3 1/4 from VAL and mb(key logo)5. Description is clean through heads works well on deep inside lines. Ball has 3 1/2 pin out and 2.7 top, all in line.  Anyone with pin above and 5 to 6 from PAP with mb just right of thumb slightly? How does it work?  How about the 4x4 with 2 inch buffer to VAL? Still snap on the back? Thoughts please. Thanks, Al

I threw the pin above bridge Shift at the seminar yesterday, and it had a ton of snap on the backend. It moved more on the lane than the stacked drilled, dulled Jolt. My buddy is doing the 4 X 4 on his shift.

CZ,

This same bowler has a Special Agent that I drilled for him last week laid out just like yours. He is killing them with this ball, he had 21 in a row last night on synthetic sport shot. I am his hero right now( talked him into this ball and layout instead of a Awesome Hook), and want to fill his next request too. I notice also you have a T-Road pin above bridge high and cg in palm and the Shift pin above middle finger cg right. What is your PAP? What is the difference in these two balls reactions. This guy wants a ball for deeper inside lines to be clean through the front but have a pop at the back to carry well. Which of these two pieces would better fit that need? He will be bowling PBA challenge shots this summer also. Thanks, Al
