A little help
« on: February 18, 2008, 03:37:16 PM »
Okay here’s the deal I just rebuilt my arsenal and I feel I’m missing a benchmark ball.

Here’s what I have now.

Rotogrip-cell (will be in Saturday)
Storm-gravity shift (4.5*5) pin up
Storm-rapid fire (4.5*4.5)pin up
Storm-t-road pearl (12 0 clock)pin up

I love the roll I get from the rapid but it doesn’t like to much oil or carry down.
And the gravity is a little strong to be a benchmark.

I was wondering if I got another rapid drilled it pin down will it be any stronger?
Any other suggestions for a benchmark ball?

thanks in advance

If anything, you're definitely missing a ball for lighter oil. I'd suggest one of the Jolts or a Tropical. With one of those, your arsenal will be quite nice.

You could throw a Sure Fire in the mix to have something in the middle. Like SST says, you are lacking on anything in case they really start to burn. A Jolt Pearl would be nice on the back end of the arsenal. And of course don't fiorget an Ice Storm spare ball.

Well guy's i forgot to mention i use a hotrod ss as my spare ball and my light oil ball so i got the dry stuff covered.

i was thinking of drilling either a spit fire or sure fire as a benchmark ball which will be better?

After seeing my first Spit Fire in person last night, I would say a Sure Fire would be a better benchmark ball. The Spit Fire was drilled to go moderately long, and it was all backend. The Sure Fire will be more round in shape, and will be great for medium shots.
