Paradigm / domination surface adjustments

I have an original paradigm that i still use and have also got a domination. I think these might overlap eachother a little bit. I typically use the original for a little heavier of conditions. I was wondering if anyone felt that it would be a good idea to adjust the surface on any of these balls to give them a distinct place in my bag instead of kind of throwing one then the other. I do have a "heavy oil" ball in a threshold, and a light oil ball in a DT energy. I was going to use the domination for medium conditions and the paradigm for med / heavy or long patterns. I hear the orig didn't respond well to surface adjustments. or mabye I should take down the domination so it responds earlier to prevent potential skidout. As you can see I am confused on what if any direction to take. any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks-B

I use a white scotch pad on mine with a spinner, just to take the glaze off, and it still allows length, with a great back end....also easier to clean using the white pad by hand, before put on the spinner again...
