Title: Special Agent... Worth it??
Post by: abcarr on March 19, 2014, 12:03:18 PM
The same guy that I bought my HyRoad Pearl from now has a Special Agent for sale on Craigslist for only $10.  He doesn't have any pics posted so I don't know what condition it's in.  But providing it's in decent shape, I'm just wondering that since I already have a Thunder Struck Pearl and the HyRoad Pearl, where would this ball fit in with those?

Thanks!!

Special Agent was a heavier oil ball of it's time. Has the R2S Solid coverstock, one of the better coverstocks Storm has produced. It had been used in a  lot of their balls. It will be above the balls you mentioned in terms of hook potential. I loved mine, if it's in good shape it's worth it. If it's not, let me know I think I still have mine if you throw 16lbs. :)

Thanks Jorge, that's the kind of info I was looking for.  That being said, I guess I actually need a weaker ball for dry(er) lane conditions.  Went bowling yesterday for practice and with the lane conditions the way they were, both balls were hooking like crazy.  Playing my regular shot (for league with fresh oil) I couldn't hit the pocket to save my life.  Finally figured out that if I moved left 10-12 boards and threw out to the third arrow I could get it in the pocket but wasn't very consistant.  So I'm thinking a ball with less hook is what I need.

Thanks again!!
