Storm Arsenal
« on: March 22, 2010, 07:58:03 AM »
I'm not sure as far as the coverstock strength and looks from different balls.  Looking at the site this is what I am thinking about putting together..

Invasion
Virtual Gravity
Reign of Fire
Hyroad
Furious
Natural
Ice Storm.

Should this fill all the gaps? and not overlap ???.. I picked the Furious over the Fast cause I figure I can always polish it up and get a similar reaction to the Fast.  Figured it would give me more versatility

HighGame 300 x 4, High Series 808
Book Average 205,PBA Xperience 185
350 RPM, 17 MPH

The first 3 will over lap a great deal. IMO 1 of those 3 would be fine on a house shot.

Jason,

I would go with...

Invasion or Virtual Gravity or Dimension
Second Dimension
Hyroad
Furious/ Fast
Natural
Ice Storm

Or if you wanna go with "team Utah" look at the Dark Star too....

Depending on what you are bowling on I think you would be hard pressed to need more than the following (if you are house shotting it anyway)....

Natural
Fast
Furious
HyRoad

For tournaments or PBA/Sport patterns you will need more but these should conquer any house pattern with ease.

my bag has the following and for my game seems to cover all the bases
heavy oil ball - invasion
med- heavy virtual energy
medium oil-reign- sanded at 1000 and lightly polished
light to med oil- fast
light oil- natural
spare ball
reign of fire and virtual gravity  could replace with the energy everything else look good. good luck to you

I would agree with Matt. Hey Jason have a Hy-Road if you want to try it.

I'd go this route-
Most hooking to least. . .
Reign of Fire
HYroad
2nd Dimension
Fast
Natural
Ice Storm

those should provide plenty of pop, just remember to adjust ball surfaces as needed
and Bowl Up A Storm!

My college team is sponsored by Storm, and the arsenal that our coach suggested to us in the beginning of the year was as follows

VG or Dimension or Rogue Cell
Virtual Energy
Hy-road
Fast/Furious
Ice

I would also throw a Natural below the Fast because that ball was advertised to hook very little but actually hooks quite a bit.

In the bag...

Invasion
Dimension
Virtual Energy
Hy-Road
Fast
Rapid Fire
ICE Storm

whats the main difference between the virtual energy and the 2nd dimension..

looks like the 2nd dimension is for medium to light lanes..
would it be weaker than the hyroad.. or about the same with a more angular hook??
