Storm Shift

I don't seem to match up to this ball. I'm a stroker with 16-17 mph and 250 rpm. I have an average of 193 on THS after 5 year of bowling. I got the Shift in an attempt to improve my average. However after 30 games with this ball I can only average 185. The problem seems to be the carry. I often leave one pin even on a pocket hit. If I leave the 10, I move one board right and I leave the 7 on my next shot. I also leave other pins in sucession. However this problem is not so pronounced with my other older balls. I see 200+ bowlers who perform very well with that ball. Could it be that the Shift is meant for expert bowlers?

I have a similar bowling style to you.  I find that I have to put a fair amount of hand in the ball for it to work well.  I get some weak hits if I don't put a lot of hand in it.  However, the more I get used to it, the more I like it.  I finished with 235 with it last night and that was with a missed 4 pin.

Maybe you already figured it out, you just do not match up well with this ball. There are balls and companies out there that some people just do not match up well with. Nothing against a certain company, it is just the way it is.

I bought a Special Agent and no matter what I did with it, it just did nto work like I wanted it to. So I gave it away.

So maybe you need to step back and figure out what you are looking for a ball to do and buy a ball that will do that.
