Anyone thrown a Storm Bolt and can give me some info how it rolled etc?

for me.. i picked it up at a garage sale, a day after all my equipment was stolen. it went really long with a little pop on it. for medium/dry lanes.

I had one when they were new.  Drilled w/ pin by ring, CG under middle finger (ie, CG just on the negative side).  Rolled as you might expect a CG neg. ball to roll; very smooth thru the mids, not jerky on the back, didn't cover a lot of boards but hit very well.  I used this ball mostly when I needed to play deep.  It was best on medium to med/dry (as was previously said), but could handle a bit of oil if it had to.

The normal bolt was a great get down and flip ball...back in the day.  With the modern oils and surfaces it would still be a good medium oil ball.  The bolt pro was a solid version with a tweeked core.  That ball was more controlled...definately an old favorite of mine (have on NIB stashed).

Depends on how much the buyer wants one. Could be $75; maybe not.

On average, I'd say $30 plus shipping if it's in good shape and hasn't been re-surfaced too much.

I actually picked this ball up from the above poster. It rolled great, so well that i went and found another! This was years ago, very good piece. As far as how much it's worth nib, beans thinks 300$+

The reason I asked about the Bolt is because someone here in Sweden has a "Bolt" and a "Thunder" (don't know which one, ad doesn't say) for sale..

The ball that's worth GOLD is the Storm Bolt Pro, not the Bolt. There are tons of balls that react like the Bolt, a high flaring pearl resin. There are darn few Bolt Pro-type balls out there. Thankfully I picked up another off Ebay several months ago.

Look for a Dyno-Thane Remedy,if you can't find a Sky Bolt. Of course, they are not identical, but the Remedy was a very even,powerful ball due to the cover/core match-up. That said, however, I wouldn't be surprised if the coverstocks were not identical: Accu-Tread.

Also lok for newer Dyno-Thane Element; same core as Sky Bolt. Also VERY even reaction.
