Storm vs Roto
« on: December 30, 2009, 12:43:53 PM »
I went to try some Rotor balls recently and in my opinion their reaction are more of smooth arc as compare to Storm balls...After I get the Reign, I know that I have to come back to Storm....

Yeah I think the Storm stuff tends to snap harder on the breakpoint than the Roto Stuff does
which is why I like the Roto stuff better, it works better for me,
the Planet line worked excellant for me, and so has the Nomad series
they are pretty much all Im throwing right now on everything from flooded long conditions to burnt up leage conditions,
sport shots to house shots
theyre stuff works excellant for me

The Reign is very very surface sensitive. Out of the box it was the squirt monster from hell. Finally settled on 500 abralon and a little finesse it...

I prefer the smooth controlled arc that I get with Roto Grip.  I really liked the Sure Fire as it had a smoother more controlled arc than most Storm Balls, but am currently having a hard time at my normal house finding enough oil to throw my Virtual Energy, finally broke down and bought a new RG Grand Illusion my go to ball.  Everyone's game is different my tends to favor a more controlled arc than a hard left turn.

I have both and I think both have their place in the bag because sometimes you need equipment that arcs rather than snaps on the back end.

+1 on both the Sure Fire and Grand Illusion. Two very good balls that did not seem to hit it off with the stand left/throw right crowd.

Took my reign to 2000 abralon and it rolls very awesome. Thing to remember about this ball is that it is late revving on the lane.
