i recently resurfaced a paradigm, and a hot rod ss pearl, after resurfacing i put some of the power house polish on them because my friend didn't have any storm polish. to make a long story short they wouldn't do anything. my ? is does power house normally have more length than storm polishes? i had to sand the polish off about a week later and went back with storm polish, and it worked better. anybody else experienced this or is it just me?

I just used PFF on a Troad solid, seemed to work well. Which storm polish are you comparing it to?

I use Ebonite polish quite frequently on my storm stuff, I actually use the PFF most of the time. It is possible it was overpolished? you don't need much to shine a ball up or the grit under the polish may have been too much. I don't know with hearing detail in the process done but I do know underlining grit, pressure while polishing and amount of polish used can have a huge difference in finishes achieved.

How far up did you go with the resurface? Most anything over 1000 can turn your Storm into a dart. The highest I go is 1000 with Factory Finish. I killed my Paradigm that way and got rid of it when I should have just hit it with 1000 instead of 4000.
If I want a little more in the mids I go with 500. I love my Hy-Road at 500 and polish.

actually yesterday i pretty much solved the problem. the house i'm bowling at has brunswick hpl's, and i ve been hesitant to change surface prep for this house. my old center used gaurdian overlay, and everything had to be 1500-2000 for me there. so i hit the paradigm with a grey scotch brite which i beleive is about 800 grit, and man did it come to life. i would never have thought with my revs i could use 800 grit. only problem i had last nite was if i got too deep, it burnt up last game because of all the dry to the right

If I'm getting a reaction close to what I want but it's burning up a little I'll polish by hand instead of using a spinner. That usually does the trick.
