Storm X-factor comparrison
« on: July 22, 2009, 06:30:26 AM »
I have the original storm x-factor and I love it, but it is getting pretty old, and I am getting ready to switch weights, so I was wondering of all the current storm balls, which ball is most comparable to it? Thanks.

The real answer to your question, sorry to say, is none.  The RAD core wrapped in Accutread Pearl is unique and none of the current balls really compare.  The Gravity Shift (just recently retired) is the closest in ball shape but the R2X cover has much more friction than the X-Factor ever did and it is an earlier roller than the X-Factor.

If you can wait a month I would bet that the Reign will be the best replacement you are going to be able to find.  Specs. put it directly between the T-Road Pearl and the Rapid Fire Pearl.

ill bite. the x factor for me was about as skid snap a reaction as ive ever gotten. built for backend, that ball at times made me feel like i had the whole lane. as for current lineup id say a fast maybe? some of the discontinued stuff, maybe the t road pearl. i dont think todays lineup has a true comparable ball that would be close to the x factor because it was one of those balls that had that never before seen reaction thats hare to duplicate. the new storm ball, the reign, might be close. we'll have to wait and see.
