I have the Invasion and Hy-road. What one ball can be the best fit between the two.
I'll be bowling a sport league this summer, two PBA and two Kegel patterns. The PBA pattern are the Cheetah and Shark. The other two Kegel patterns have not been mentioned. Maybe Abbey Rd?
Anyway, would the Vivid be a good fit? if so, I was so late for $20 rebate! lol

I would Consider a crossroad or a marvel series(Solid or pearl)
Both would be more that your hyroad but would be less than your invasion.
I would use surface on the invasion
Use a stronger Layout on the marvel or crossroad
And have you hyroad at a lite shine.

Honestly, I haven't thrown the Invasion in a long while. I've used it only on USBC and kegel patterns, and rarely did I use it on THS. It's been almost two years since I've thrown this ball.
I have the Crossroad with high/taller pin location than my Invasion and Hy-road. I find the Crossroad to be slightly earlier than the hyroad. But maybe it's my faulty release, cover, and/or layout, but the Crossroad is a bit more jumpy/harder off the spot than my hyroad. And bowling on a condition that has not been very consistent with the house's summit machine, it's hard for me to tell the difference between the the Hyroad and Crossroad.
I may just alter the surface and go from there. But, I do agree with Ray Salas, both invasion and Hyroad are pretty even rolling. So, maybe I need something that has a different roll/look.
