Storm Forest Fire

Anybody ever heard of this ball?

I saw a "Tour Edition" version of this ball going cheap.  Just curious...

A solid reactive from 1995, it will be pretty darn weak by today's standards, especially the "Tour Edition" that most likely has a lower-flaring core than the regular version.  I don't know much about this particular ball, but its pearl counterpart, the Fire Storm, was a hell of a skid/snap ball back in its day. (My mom shot her first and to date only 300 with one back in '96.  I also believe I heard once that Norm Duke used a Fire Storm when he shot his back-to-back-to-back 300s over two blocks in a PBA event, don't have any confirmation of that however)

Was a great ball. Very versatile. Fit between my Black Thunder and Red Meteor at the time. Would probably be a ball for lighter mediums to light on today's conditions as Dan pointed out.

lol i actually have this ball and used to use it when i was playing  youth leagues. Mine isn't blue like yours in the picture though. It's a mix of green and white and is also the "Tour Edition"

I don't know how weak the Forest Fire Storm would be by today's standards, but the original Fire Storm is STILL a player on today's conditions.
It's not for heavy oil, but it's still quite strong!

I had a forest fire storm back in the day - didn't care for it too much.

The white swirls are called phasing, it has to do with the resin material in the ball.  Phased balls hook more than balls with less phasing, at least that used to be the case.

All of Storm's early balls had "Tour Edition" engraved on them.  There were not any that didn't.

The Forest Fire was very rolly for a Storm ball at least for me.  I liked this ball, the Fire Storm was pretty flippy.

The Green Forest Fire was a great all around ball and I used in many different conditions.  Never heard of the Tour Edition, I assume it's a weaker core as most pro models

Forest Fire was a solid version of the Fire with an inverted core. And as other have mentioned, the "Tour Edition" moniker was on every ball so there aren't 2 different versions. I know someone who still uses a Forest occasionally and it's not weak by any means.
