Are the Storm Fringe and Manic going to be a U.S release or International release?

Both balls look like replacements for the 2Fast and 2Furious... with the same wild color appearance as the Frantic. The Fringe is a throwback to the Banshee: same colors, same scent, but different core. The Manic looks like the solid Tropical Heat on the outside, but different guts and scent. Both balls should sell well... and (like the Frantic) they're targeting the youth market with the logos and color schemes.

the balls are right below the Vivid. they look interesting to say the least. I could see the Maniac being a good control ball.

Wow, after watching that video it looks like the fringe goes straight thru the oil and screams left as soon as it hits the dry.

Am I wrong, or are these the same thing as the 2Fast and 2Furious with different colors?

I'm going out on a limb and saying these are international releases.  Seeing as there has been nothing in the US seen publicly about them, yet an international staffer is throwing them.  Yes they are the exact same core as the 2Fast and 2Furious with R2S Pearl and Solid....really don't see those being replaced this soon.

I could be wrong...but that's my guess is they are Asia market releases.  Thought someone told me once that Asian oil conditions tend to be heavier...might explain stronger covers for their market.

I thought we had a thread on these 2 balls already. OK, I'll post here what I remember posting on it.
(Edit: I was right. It was posted all of 3 days ago on Monday: Manic/Fringe original post)
They seem to me to be replacements for the 2Fast and 2 Furious in different color schemes and with the Manic being 4000 grit vs the 2Furious's 2000 grit. Oh, and, of course, the price has gone up. Other than that the same balls.
Release date is 5/8/12.
Buddies has them with details:

  • Color: Blue/Pink
  • Coverstock: R2S Solid Reactive
  • Weight Block: N.O.S. Core
  • Factory Finish: 4000 Grit Abralon
  • Flare Potential: Medium
  • Radius of Gyration (RG): 2.53
  • Differential (Diff): 0.045
  • Intermediate Differential (Mass Bias): n/a
  • Fragrance: Blueberry

  • Color: Ruby/Yellow
  • Coverstock: R2S Pearl Reactive
  • Weight Block: N.O.S. Core
  • Factory Finish: 1500 Grit Polished
  • Flare Potential: Medium
  • Radius of Gyration (RG): 2.53
  • Differential (Diff): 0.045
  • Intermediate Differential (Mass Bias): n/a
  • Fragrance: Pina Colada

Bowling.com and Bowlingball.com raised the price on the 2fast and it's actually more than the fringe.

a friend and I were talking about getting the 2fast for myself, and over the weekend I saw the Fringe and Manic on Buddies website. The price on the Fringe was more than the 2fast, but today I don't see the 2fast anymore - off the list.

Once they get through the initial discounted order and move enough of the Fringe, you will probably see the 2fast on clearance, with prices to match. (just my opinion)
