Switching from Track BACK to Storm...need help
« on: April 19, 2007, 03:52:22 AM »
As the season comes to an end, and Track basically not being Track anymore, I'm gonna go back to what I started with and that's Storm.

Here's what I have in my bag:
Mean Machine
Power Machine
Equation
Heat Blast
Spare

Now, I wanna consolidate this into just a 4 ball arsenal including spare, so here's what I was thinking:

Special Agent
T-Road Pearl
Thunderstruck Solid
Spare

I bowl in a relatively medium to dry house, but occassionaly go out and play in some oil.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I'd be supersede if you could cover with those four here is my suggestion Noy.

Special Agent
Agent/Thunderstruck Pearl/Thunderstruck SOlid<<MONEY BALL (Sorry bruns forum guys, but the ball deserves the name!)
Jolt Pearl/Substitute Jolt Solid if you want more of a rolly reactions
Spare

You will have options galore with the storm balls out. Don't be fooled as the Thunderstrucks and T-Road are stronger than advertised by a long shot, nothing bad but the T-Road and Thunderstrucks are medium-medium+.

I almost went with this exact setup, but alas I haven't tried a T-Road Pearl yet.  My pro shop was saying that the T-Road may be too similar to my Thunderstruck for a three ball arsenal.  I really wanted a T-Road Pearl...  Oh well, I ended up with a Spit Fire and yes it is different.  I haven't quite incorporated it yet.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you had an Agent before right?  It may help to compare some of these other balls to that since you probably know how the Agent reacted.

T-Road and Thunderstruck are too similar for me to include in a 4 ball lineup (not exact - too similar).  It always surprises me how many people don't include at least 1 pearl particle (see many other responses to posts I have given).  I'd add in a pearl particle for a different look at the pocket.  Based on your profile and description of the conditions you typically shot on I'd go with:

Special Agent
Pyro
T-Road Pearl
Spare

Sorry for not being as descriptive as to what i want.  I prefer smooth arcing reactions which is probably why i use my Heat Blast and Mean Machine more than my Equation and Power Machine now.

So the Special Agent seems to be locked in on the list.  I've heard so many good things about the T-Road Pearl, TS Solid, and Pyro that it's hard to pick between the two.  I know for a fact that the Pyro is a SMOOOTH ball.  It's my driller's go to ball and it amazes me sometimes how smooth it is on the lanes, especially on dryer conditions.

Also, if there was something weaker than my Heat Blast (drilled pin above bridge and CG stacked right under) or comparable, I'd like to hear it.

Yes, I did have an Agent before, but it was 14lbs and I moved up to 15lb.  I havent shot anything higher with my Track equipment then I have with my Agent, but my game has come a long way since I had the Agent.

Teh SA>Pyro>TRP doesnt sound too bad, but I'd like something to go under the TRP/Pyro because my house is relatively dry.  I havent heard too much about the jolts either.

More help would be appreciated.

First of all, there;s nothing wrong with Track!  Next, what are you doing with the old balls?  Third, I want nothing to do with Storm.

If you like the rolly reaction I would go with the special agent,Agent,Jolt solid or there is a T-road solid coming out soon
