compliment to current arsenel
« on: April 19, 2007, 07:09:32 AM »
I have a jolt, thunderstruck, supercharge, razor wire, big hit. I want add some rolly storm stuff to fill in
the gaps. Can you storm experts recommend some stuff to fill in the gaps.  I hate flippy equipment. I like arch -rolly types. I want an strong angular arch at most.

To add a roller, I'd suggest any of the Paradigm balls or the new shift if you have the money

special agent

If you have a Super Charge I'd be amazed if a Special Agent is of any value other than a replacement ball.  The rolls are very similar (SA is a bit later roll and a bit more turn) and they cover almost exactly the same boards.  If you are ready to replace the SC then a Special Agent will absolutely fit the bill.

I am assuming your equipment is in this order (strongest to weakest)

Super Charge
Thunderstruck
Jolt
Razor Wire
Big Hit

A Double Agent or a Passion drilled pin 5" or so from PAP will give you an arcing movement and both will be stronger in oil than the Super Charge.

The only other possible hole in your lineup would be between the SC (or Special Agent) and the Thunderstruck.  If you are willing to get to your rolly type shot with layout I'd go get a pearl particle like either the Shift or the Pyro.  Both can be rather flippy but with the right layout they would fit nicely in that spot.  Otherwise look at a mid-range dull solid like the Dark Thunder or the Diablo.

What's the difference in reaction between the Shift and the Pyro?

Shift will handle a bit more oil than the Pyro - but other than that they are real close.  Both would be good choices.  Shift is probably a bit closer to the Special Agent in overall condition handling and the Pyro is closer to the Thunderstruck.
