Storm Invasion Eagerness
« on: January 21, 2010, 01:58:27 AM »
Ok, so I pre-ordered an Invasion.  For some reason I haven't been this excited about a new bowling ball in a very long time.  I buy a lot of bowling balls (too many), but for some reason this one has me waiting feverously.  Am I the only one that thinks this ball will be something special?

I watched it being thrown last weekend and it was very impressive early in the set.

I'm definately eager to see how they stack up.  I'm planning on getting a hy-road and an invasion.  I just want to see how the invasion stacks up so I can drill the hy road accordingly.

Haven't seen one go down the lane yet...but the one sitting at the shop waiting for its new owner sure does smell nice!!

The Invasion is absolutely a beast.  I can actually use it for all 3 games if I'm over the gutter cap by game 3.

In terms of overall hook I wasn't impressed as I was hoping to be, but I don't think I've seen a ball go through the pins in such a continous motion as the Invasion. There is nothing that drives like it, but it has nothing on the Reign of Fire in terms of overall hook.

It will be well worth the wait!!!
I drilled mine up exactly like my favorite storm of all time (virtual gravity) and its about 8 boards stronger much more continuous and rolls much more consistent!! Rolled 2 games with it in my 2nd shift league 279-256

Drilled one up and HOLLY MOLLY! this ball is early strong and needs oil in the heads. It makes every strong storm ball previous to this look incredibly weak.

Yes, the Invasion is insane...I'm still shocked on how much stronger it is than the VG.

Yeah, I want one too, but they just don't throw down enough oil around here to justify getting one.
