Super Charge
« on: December 10, 2003, 11:50:15 PM »
I just drilled up a Super Charge on Tuesday and I love it. The first 2 games was 220's then 235, 235 for 692... I love this ball cause how early it rolls up and the impact it hits...Wish that had a peralized version of it.

It does look like what storm is gonna come out with for the charge pearl solid combo.

Boy the cores sure look the same but there is a difference in asymmetry for super charge and a .50 versus .40 differential.

I've always found a difference in that much differential.

Jabs, how can you say that the cores are "not that much different"..? One is perfectly symmetrical and the other is totally asymmetrical.

The Power Charge has a ball in the center of it. The Super has 2 sideways pucks in the center. Yeah, they both have a flip block on the bottom, but that's as close as they come to each other.

There is no way the 2 balls will roll the same, even if the RG and Diff. #'s are the same, or close. That's why the numbers don't mean much. It's all about the core shape..!! =:^D

Jabs, when you say that Lane #1 cores are not THAT much different, you are correct. But, when you say that these 2 cores are not THAT much different, you're WAY OFF BASE..!! =:^D

Jabs, what's the matter..? Can't you take some criticism..? You're the one going around as saying whatever you want, and when we call you on it, you say that we're taking your words out of context..!! Well, maybe the content of what your'e saying isn't what you think it is..? If you're going to make stupid general comments, like you do, then you're going to get smacked around a bit.

All I did was point out that the Super Charge core and the Power Charge were very different. Why are they NOT that much different..? Take away the puck on the bottom, and what do you see as being the same..?

Yeah, they're both round balls with a compound core, but does't the shape, size and density of the weight block mean anything..? =:^D

I'm going to have to say 2 things here.........

I pretty much gaurantee that Storm will NOT do a pearl version of the Super Charge,...that IS the Power Charge Pearl.

Are they the same ???? No, ....But I wouldn't say they're THAT much different but they're certainly different enough!  So I'll go in between Jabroni and T-GOD on this one....and oh, by the way,.....get a room guys!

I saw Finnish amateur international Lasse Lintila throw what I think was the Super Charge in the Super Series tournament in Kungsbacka, Sweden, last weekend. It seemed to overreact in the backend so he put it away after a few frames and pulled out an Eraser Boost instead. He seemed to have better control with this one. The pattern was an asymmetric 40 feet christmas tree similar to the one they used in 2001 (http://66.70.217.221/tournaments/2001/international/Super6Kungsbacka2000-2001/tournament.htm) This time they had put out a bit more oil to keep the lanes from opening up too much.

What does this have to do with the topic?

Anyway i have to agree with jeff, they balls are very similar in design but the SC is gonna roll way sooner and come in harder due to:
A. matt finish
B. bigger differential

I have the power charge and it goes extremely long. it clears the heads with ease but it makes a strong recovery. Carry down kills it. I can see the super charge taking over when theres carrydown.

this is my last post relating to jab-a-goat . . .

the rg and differential are different on the super charge and the power charge pearl.  the flare potential is different.  the coverstocks are not even the same (you can have a pearlized variant of a non-pearlized cover, can't you?).  you say the numbers are "close" . . . they don't give stats to the nearest 1/1000th for no reason.

the cores are completely different- not remotely the same.  the storm drilling instructions say the super charge has a mass bias that is marked.  anybody can see by looking at the core that it's asymmetrical (the correct spelling, by the way), even if the mass bias is not marked.

nothing you say can change that.

you're not working in a pro shop, actually recommending equipment to customers and (heaven forbid) drilling bowling balls, are you?!?!?

you're complaining that you're being taken out of context, and being ripped apart . . . i haven't read anything you've posted that has been correct.

and just one last indication of your blatant stupidity . . . in your last post here you say, "I said nothing that was viscious in my post to anyone."  (it's spelled vicious, by the way).  then you go on to rip people as being lane #1 groupies and a pack of trolls.  even your signature is offensive.

just admit you've been wrong, and you'll try to do better in the future.  admitting that you have a problem is the first step toward recovery.

jeff, it's no use . . . this person does not understand basic english, much less bowling terminology and concepts.  ten minutes with mo pinel and he'd shoot himself.
