Pardigm Domination up on Storm's Site
« on: September 20, 2006, 08:59:22 AM »
http://www.stormbowling.com/products/balls/ball.asp?ballid=230

Two interesting things to note on the page(s).

First, the Paradigm is suspiciously absent from all the ball comparisons.  Every time Storm has done that it was a precursor to dropping the ball.

Second, Storm has the Agent as a stronger ball than the Paradigm Domination (the opposite of the way they represented the Paradigm) on the ball comparison charts.

Got to put my hands on a undrilled ball for the first time.  It smells like a pack of spearmint gum and the cover looks like glass.  Can't wait to see it in action.

quote:
Oh, well I heard from someone that in some publication there was a mention that the Thunderstrucks had some sort of mica or additive to the reactor base which made it a bit harder than regular reactor.

DP3 is correct. In an issue of Bowlers Journal, during the review of the Thunderstruck pearl, there was a quote attributed to Steve Kloempken that the reactor cover on the TS pearl was firmer and because of the MICA allowed the ball to be smoother off friction than the Fired UP.  I can find the exact quote later if anyone is interested.

I haven't seen a TS Pearl in action, but the Fired Up is very aggressive.  Also, on Jeff Carter's website he mentions the TS Pearl needs a lot more friction than the Fired Up.  So it seems there is more than just a "diff" difference in ball reaction between the two.

"Paradigm Domination" sounds wicked enough! it's such a grand name! and the ball being identified by Storm as the most "skid/flip" ball ever, means that it's surely gonna be WICKED!!! can't wait to see the ball in action!

If you look at the ball chart of the Paradigm you can see the ball reaction between the two balls side by side...
