My proshop had a sheet for these balls in the shop yesterday.I just scanned over the sheet, but I believe they are U.S. releases. The I.Q.'s have the core from the marvel line. Not sure on the covers. The Fire Road has a road core and a R2X pearl cover.

When will they ever come out with something new, I mean really new?? We just keep buying the same old recycled weight blocks and covers and they just keep taking our money. The new stuff is no better nor much different than the older stuff it just has a different name on it.

Storm strongly sticks with a proven formula, and it's a very good working one if you look around. I personally like their strategy because if you have some patience the ideal ball combination that you want is going to show up. Also storm's line makes it awfully easy to make an arsenal out of too. I know I sound like a Storm homer with this post but it is just how I see it.

From what I heard, while the IQ and Marvel/Prodigy are similar; the IQ will have the rolly nature but a lower differential. I hope the Fire Road is orange as that color has been very, very, very good to me!
notsohotshot I can understand where you are coming from saying you want something totally new but all of the brands chase is a "look" in a line so they truly only stray so far away from being good.
-
Actually both of the IQ's have new technology in them. As mentioned previously why would you go away from a proven design? Take a winning design and introduce new technology to it.
As Mr. Straight Ball mentioned IQ Tour has different core specs, The IQ has a brand new cover.
As Del Ballard said in an interview what makes the Storm Line great is the steps between balls.

The Fired Road is red/blue swirl.
The Brain Storm is a clear ball with a brain.
IQ tour is blue..Kinda like the old Track Slash but deeper blue
IQ reminds me of the Don Carter ball
I'll try to post pictures. or send me a PM and I'll forward email.

Or just go to buddiesproshop.com, Theyre all there along with the new Defiant ball. I cant wait for the FireRoad, will probably replace both my Marvel Pearl and Victory Road.
-
I would say "similar" technology, but at the same time very different. The one I'm most excited for is the Fire Road! Basically a Victory Road with the R2X coverstock. I'm curious to see how this will react, hopefully this will be their top backend skid/flip ball and leave the rollier skid/flip balls in the Premier and Master lines.

Heck... the brain storm is the one I'm looking forward to! That's great!

The Brain Storm will be cool to see, no doubt. Now with Storm having a lot of stuff coming out, their sister brand Roto Grip has 5 new balls coming out this August also. The Defiant Edge, Berserk, Shatter, Shout and Scream.
In fact, RG may have decided to do a new entry level line with the Shout and Scream to give it something comparable to the Tropical Heat balls. Now that makes mixing/matching from Storm and RG even more interesting as that anyone could build a really complete arsenal.

Info on all Storm balls available at Buddies Pro Shop website...

Why would you be irritated about not having anything "new"?...The IQ has a much lower Differential than the Marvel series.
What is wrong with what they have...by far the winningest manufacturer on tour the last couple of years...and they need something new?
