Well I decided to punch up a Storm Prodigy.. I was worried about the prodigy as I had issues with the Mutant Cell, and VG down the stretch as they either hit like toilet paper out of the box, or eventually died down the stretch. Well I decided to give the prodigy. The ball is drilled with a prety standard pin over ring layout.. no weight hole. I figured this thing would be strong.. but jeeze this thing moves on the back end! So we know storm balls hook, everything does that now days. What all of the other storm balls (hook monsters) I have thrown have not been able to do is handle both the heavy conditions and still not burn up on the drier shots. I was able to stay with the prodigy all night. Compared to my jigsaw trap that had the polish knocked off (4000 grit) and had a stronger drilling, the prodigy moved 4 more boards and was alot more predictable at the break point. I played far deeper inside then anybody in the house and when everyone was going to tamer equipment, surprisingly I was still able to play extreme angles and the carry was unreal. What I mean by extreme angles... Right hander standing against the ball return with the breakpoint outside of the 2nd arrow is where I ended up the last game which ended up being my highest game of my 4 game series. The prodigy appears to be one heck of a ball.. I can actually say for it to be as strong as it is, it is very versatile. So if your looking for a strong ball that will handle the soup and wont have to put it down after 4 frames into the first game.. check out the Prodigy..the ball rolls and hits like nothing else I have tried in the storm lineup. I will need to test it on a true long oil sport shot.. but honestly the invasion is the ball for that anyway..I think the prodigy plays its part nicely!
