If you want a "stacked leverage" type of layout, put the pin 3 3/8 inches from your axis point with the MC2 straight down below. Don't worry about where the CG falls. 3 3/8 is the "leverage" point for the weight block to be in, or where the weight block is at it's most dynamic imbalance. This will give you the most flare, and usually most hook from a ball, your mileage may vary.
You will probably need an extra hole, 6" over on a line from the center of your span through the cg. If you want the most early roll, put the hole on your axis point.
