Need some suggestions.
« on: August 08, 2003, 11:27:01 AM »
Ive been throwing a eraser pbt for about a month now. At the one place i bowl regularly the ball works perfectly. There synthetic lanes with medium oil. The other place i bowl has wood lanes and a little more oil then the other house. I have my ball drilled to go long and break hard. Now it seem in teh second house my bal does not move enuough. Like if i play the same board i do at my regular house the ball will come up short of the pocket. Is there anything i can do besides moving left to get my ball moving more?

Hi:

Have you tried sanding the ball down that will help the ball to break more earlier. If that doesn't work then i would recommend buying another ball. The Xfactor Deuce is great for med to heavy oil conditions. Hope this helps ya out.

Mike,

Remember that any adjustment you make for one condition will change your reaction for the other condition. The only other changes you can make seem to be to move further outside in order to play the lanes with the lanes with the same ball or to buy another ball for the other condition. To save money on a new ball, there are any number of options to get a used ball, including buying one from several reputable people here. Since the Eraser is a pearl, any number of solid balls should solve your initial problems with the new lanes.
