Gentlemen...especially Peaches
« on: October 17, 2003, 09:58:40 AM »
I'm thowin' a BLAZE (stacked above the ring) right now and am extremely happy with it... I have a problem though,  the last few weeks the amount of oil on the lanes has increased to a point where I have to play down 3 or keep it real tight (can't swing it at all).  THis has cost me countless number of ten pins...I need to increase that pocket entry angle!  I haven't purchased new eqiupmennt for a while,  I've been sticking to the BLAZE since last year and had to occasionally pull out the old axis drilled Polished THUNDERROAD (-A Pchee special-)... Basically I need a ball for medium-heavy conditions thats gonna react much like the BLAZE.  I don't need anyhting different in this case.  Iknow where the scoring line at my house is.  Pchee was thinking about a polished Duece, reloaded, or orignial X...... I'm worried though that these balls may be too much for me to keep on the lane.  I need something thats gonna start rollin earlier then my BALZE (either lower RG or more aggressive cover), and have enough energy left ot boom on the backend.  Thanx., your help is appreciated in advanced.

Well i would try the CorePower LRG, it will give you more of a Roll, and have a lil bit more backend.  Or you could try the Original Eraser with a drilling that will have it set up earlier or have a stronger backend.

I wouldnt really go with a Polished up Duece cuz thats bigger hooking ball even if it is polished.

Now you could try hitting up your Blaze with some 1000grit or 800grit to give it more pop on the backend, unless you wanna keep it as is.

Now i think the Xfactors will have too much ball for what you are bowling on though.

What up Nuclear Sausage?  The Blaze, for MANLY people with tuff guy revs like us, is a stronger ball with a lot of angle so you must be on some good oil if you have to play that tight.  I'm still thinking the Reloaded for you.  Reason is because right now you have to play straight up 3 with your blaze and you want a ball you can swing.  If you have to play this way with your blaze you'll need a SIGNIFICANTLY more aggressive ball that has backend yet bite in oil if you want to swing it like you normally do.  I think the core power LRG would do you good but you mentioned that you wanted a similar reaction to your blaze that's why I'm thinking Reloaded.  That's why I think the Reloaded would be good.  Strong core to make the turn and also strong cover to help bite in oil.  Blaze is particle pearl the Reloaded is a stronger particle pearl.  Blaze has an average strength weight block Reloaded has stronger block and asymmetrical, which will give you earlier roll plus angle.

You can always polish up the Reloaded if too strong.  But since you are on oil keep in mind that its easier tame down a ball a strong ball than it is to make a weaker one strong.

Just my opinion but what the heck do I know I only average a buck 62.

pchee2<~~~This guy, however, still has the highest average in the country with a CPL of 27.83.
