The Summit Ascent is the latest release in the Storm Master line and will fill the gap between the original Summit and Summit Peak. Typically the solid version will pick up the earliest, but with the proven R2S solid coverstock and Centripetal HD - A.I. core the Ascent strikes an excellent balance of length and shape that creates forgiving and continuous ball motion. The Ascent gave me a great look sliding on 25, looking at 15 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 6-7. I was able to play multiple angles by changing my speed and hand position. It also did an excellent job blending out the wet/dry on our high friction house pattern. When compared to the Summit, the Ascent is cleaner through the fronts but still maintains a heavy continuous roll. The Peak provides more length than the Ascent and has a sharper backend reaction. This trio creates a great combination of reactions that can be used from the fresh to the burn. I expect the Ascent to excel on medium patterns and can see it as the first ball out of the bag for league or a number two ball on heavier tournament patterns. Stop by your local Storm VIP pro shop to check it out! Available on August 23rd.
